Darksiders 2 - Guardian Boss

One of the things I worked on for Darksiders 2, this guy was a lot of work and a team effort. Unfortunately the images I have are just from my daily WIPs progress during creation, so I don't have a solid set of "final" images. But I think these give a pretty good look at things regardless.

It's been a few years so I'm not 100% what all was handled by who. I think I did the lions share of the work on this guy if i recall correctly, working on it full-time while Tohan Kim popped on and off the project with some significant contributions.

I did the unique sculpted pieces (head, shoulder, knee etc) but I think Tohan Kim also made an extra damage pass on the head at some point. The bulk of the body is made of tiled textures which had passes done by both Tohan and I. The weapon was fully made by myself. The large "soul stone" in the forehead was made by the environment team at Vigil (not sure which artist). And of course some amazing FX and animations by the talented team at Vigil.
